This non-vintage Rose is completely dry. It is rich and dark in color, with crisp, lively flavors hinting of tangerine and pears. We age in oak to give it greater depth and structure. This is unlike most Roses in the marketplace. The grapes used are Merlot and Pinot Noir and made from grapes grown from Celilo vineyard. Celilo Vineyard, with its deep volcanic soils, is located near 1,000 ft. in elevation on Underwood Mountain across the Columbia River from Hood River, OR. This wine has a strong varietal character that goes well with fish dishes (especially salmon) and poultry, or at a summer picnic. This is an unusual and wonderful wine. |
