This Lemberger is fruity, light, and lively. The grapes, grown locally on Underwood Mountain, retain high natural acidity to go very well with a variety of foods. The Lemberger grape is, as far as we know, a relatively unknown grape varietal except in the Pacific Northwest. Its taste is big and fruity, and the wine is a cross between the complex fruitiness of the Pinot Noir and a Merlot. It’s a very interesting grape and makes a rich and fruity wine. Stylistically this wines follows our other reds; it has good fruit balanced with he natural acidity of the grapes together with 3 years of oak aging. |
